The storefront on North Pine Street: a blue awning reading 1007 The Purest Food Market, window lettering listing the goods, the round green and white logo on the glass, a neon open sign, and a bench and cafe table outside.
The fresh meat case: trays of goat, lamb and boneless beef wrapped under film, each carrying a scale label printed with the shop's own name.
A grocery aisle from floor to ceiling: bays of boxed tea, jars, biscuits and imported snacks, with tubs of wrapped sweets and boxed baklava on the table in front.
The confectionery run: shelves of European chocolate bars and wafers, tins of butter cookies, sugar free biscuits and jars of wrapped candy.
